The purpose of a high school diploma is to declare that a student is ready for success in postsecondary education, gainful employment, and citizenship, and is equipped with the skills to be a lifelong learner. (RCW 28A.230.090)

Earn 24 Credits in Designated Subject Areas (see below)
Complete a Graduation Pathway
The standard "pathway" requires meeting standardized test scores. The Smarter Balance Assessment (SBAC) is offered in Spring for 10th and 12th graders. Some students meet the requirement based on 10th grade scores.
SBAC Score on English & Language Arts (ELA)—2548
SBAC Score on math—2595
Alternate pathways include:
ASVAB (Military Entrance Exam) scores of 31+
Students who struggle to meet the SBAC math requirement often pass this requirement on the ASVAB
Career/Technical course sequences:
Biomed, Construction, and Culinary options are in development at Chimacum HS

5 during Freshman Year, 10 during Sophomore Year
20 during Junior Year, 20 during Senior Year
