The Golden Pride Marching Band is the premier performing ensemble for Manning High School. The band has also become one of the foremost performing groups of the Clarendon County and has established themselves as a household though the Pee Dee and Mid-lands being known as "The Pride of I-95". The band has over 80 members both in middle school and high school. Students participating in Marching Band must be at least a 7th grader with no less than 1 year of band experience. Our tradition and commitment to Musical Excellence, precision, and entertainment is one of the shared goals of our organization.
With a diverse playlist of songs, the Golden Pride is sure to have you on your feet. All percussionist, drum majors and auxiliary members are all selected based on an audition process. Our auxiliary undergoes a rigorous week audition in the Spring to find new talent as it arises. It is our mission to share the joy of music with everyone who hears us. The band participates in many parades and festivals in Clarendon County and throughout the state of SC.
