Monarch Jazz Connection

        The Monarch Jazz Connection performs at the annual District In-Service Conference, school assemblies, and at other school and district banquets.  They perform a variety of music from jazz standards all the way to current day Pop and R & B.  Students in this ensemble generally are the principal players in their sections.  These students have auditioned for District and Region Honor Band and demonstrate a a high level of proficiency on their instrument. The Monarch Connection Jazz Band participated in SCBDA Jazz Performance Assessment and received a Superior Rating in 2023. This is the first time since the inception of SCBDA Jazz Performance Assessment.
