Program Coordinator and Mentor in the G.R.I.T. Mentoring Program (2017 to 2018): Helped to design and implement the Guiding Retrospect Into Tomorrow (G.R.I.T.) Mentoring program. Trained fellow mentors on cover letters, resumes, interview skills, and LinkedIn. Created a facility wide advertising program along with the presentation for the Leadership Team in order to gain facility approval of the program. Designed and distributed flyers, emails, and other program informational documents to garner interest of SWVTC employees. Taught resume, interview, cover letter, and email etiquette workshops and one-on-one.
Community Integration Transition Project Leader (2016 to 2018): Coordinates the delivery of training for community providers to ensure that individuals discharged from the training center continue to receive essential supports in their new placement in a manner consistent with their identified needs, preferences, and individualized support plans. In order to coordinate trainings to run smoothly I have had to hone my organizational and people skills as well as grow my emotional IQ in order to really relate to both the staff attending trainings as well as the trainers themselves. I make sure that the providers feel that they have received adequate training and make sure any questions that they have are answered. Received promotion from prior position to current role.
Executive Administrative Assistant (2013 – 2016): Served as the right hand of the Director at SWVTC. I made sure his office ran smoothly and that all callers and visitors were greeted in a warm manner, I made sure that if they had concerns or needs that I could address without interrupting the Director’s work that I did so. In addition to making sure his office ran smoothly I prepared meeting agendas for committees as well as prepared minutes to go on file. I edited two newsletters, updated the intranet homepage, and prepared monthly reports. I helped with CMS audits by preparing paperwork and packets of information. I also answered the phone for the Director, kept track of the conference room schedules, attended events to get photos and write articles for the newsletters. Timekept for 10+ people in the KRONOS system. I made changes to Policies and Procedures and ensured that they went through the proper channels for approval. I entered events into the CHRIS (Computerized Human Rights Information System), I helped Human Resources with job fairs, interview work studies, and conducting interviews. I taught our Resume Writing, Interview Skills, and Email Etiquette classes to staff as the need for them arose. For these classes I created presentations using Prezi. I was a key team member on the To Create Better Team and our project teams that branched off of the original platform group.
