Who Am I:

I am a dedicated, hard worker who has a passion for learning and sharing knowledge with others. I helped create a mentoring program from the ground up and have reached out to help coworkers with resumes and interview skills when they were faced with losing their jobs when I worked at a facility that was slated for closure. I love to help people see their own strengths and reach for their dreams.

My Story:

Without boring you, my story is one in which mistakes were made and learned from. I grew and changed and finally found a job that I loved and would have stayed at indefinitely.

However, that was not meant to be. Southwestern Virginia Training Center closed its doors June 30, 2018. I was the Community Integration Transition Project Leader there. In addition to this role I was also one of the Program Coordinators of the G.R.I.T. Mentoring program which was created in order to help coworkers reach career goals in their quest to find work before we close.

So now my goal is to find a career where I can be creative, passionate, and grow my knowledge while helping others. I have not pinpointed what this exact role would be as there are many that could fill this definition and I am open minded. I am the type of person who loves new things and challenges and am open to any role that I can thrive in.
