Your acceptance to the Internship Program or Part-Time Field Staff (PTFS) is separate from your placement for a location of service. Most applicants do receive their first placement preference. However, we may share opportunities and needs within the ministry that we think might be a good fit for you. In addition, your hire status will not be official until you have raised your full support by developing a team of ministry partners.

Your staff account number is necessary for your hire paperwork, informing your partners on where to direct their donations, and is your identifier to Cru when you need help related to your account.
Acquiring. . .
You will receive an email from Join.us@cru.org with a link to a site requesting your social security number and birth date. This site is secure and has been made specifically for this purpose. This information will be used to generate a staff account for you and trigger the process to create your Cru email account.
Creating a Cru Staff Account happens soon after you provide the requested info through the join.us link.
Memorize your account number, because you will be using it frequently all year.

You'll receive an email from Help@cru.org with your email address and instructions for logging into your email and the Staff Web. It is very important that you get online access set up as soon as possible AND complete the Google 2-step verification within 2 weeks of the Help@cru.org email.
If it has been more than 3 to 5 business days since you filled out the join.us@cru.org link (see staff account info to the left), and you haven’t received an email from TechHelp, search your spam folder for an email with the subject "SSO Relay notification". If the TechHelp email is not in your spam folder, email your coordinator for help.
You will need to check and use your Cru email address for any Cru or ministry related communication throughout the duration of your employment with Cru.
Okta Login. . .
You will use your email to create your Okta account. Your Okta account will grant you access to necessary Cru websites. Your Okta user login is your Cru email address. You will need to follow the instructions in the TechHelp email in order to activate your account and set a personalized password.
Last but not least. . .
Once you have access to the web sites through Okta, please go to the following sites and bookmark them.
Please make sure you add in the information as requested.
1. Double check that you have the dots and @ sign in your email.
2. Enter all 9 digits for your staff account number.
3. Date format needs be 2 digit month/2 digit day/4 digit year. Double check that you used the forward slash / symbol in between each digit set.
4. The Social Security number needs a dash - symbol in between each of the digit sets.
