We are glad you came to explore this new resource for leaders. Please follow us as we build and design new courses and explore new formats to deliver these to you and your leaders in your context. Please read the following paragraphs as they will give you an idea of what we are here for.
In Joshua 14:9-10 we read: "And Moses swore on that day, saying, ‘Surely the land on which your foot has trodden shall be an inheritance for you and your children forever, because you have wholly followed the Lord my God.’ And now, behold, the Lord has kept me alive, just as he said, these forty-five years since the time that the Lord spoke this word to Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness. And now, behold, I am this day eighty-five years old. 'I am still as strong today as I was in the day that Moses sent me; my strength now is as my strength was then, for war and for going and coming."
Caleb followed the Lord fully. He had a different kind of spirit in him. Even at 85 he was as strong as he was at 40. He is a great example of a leader with a right kind of heart and a faithfulness that made him someone to finish strong. We chose Caleb as he represents the biblical character of a leader that we want to imitate in our lives and would like to support and encourage in others'.
We envision a growing number of servant-shepherd leaders who are characterized by their abiding dependence on the Lord, who find their identity, sufficiency and strength in Him and who are able to fruitfully apply His Word to their lives and effectively implement His principles into their leadership roles and responsibilities.
The mission of Caleb85 is to be a blessing to local and national ministries, including ministry leaders, staff and volunteers. We are working to provide a multi-faceted resource for ministry leaders that focuses on on-going spiritual development that is practically oriented towards the specific needs, challenges and realities of leaders. Through the study of God's Word, we seek to discover His principles of leadership and learn together how to apply them to our lives and leadership.
