Focus: the burden and responsibility of leadership can sometimes rob us of our joy. The joy of our salvation is what keeps us properly motivated and provides the ability to persevere, especially during difficult seasons of leadership.
Focus: vision and passion for ministry can sometimes get depleted, both for us and for those we lead. Telling stories of God’s faithfulness reminds us God is at work.
Focus: God’s design is for us to be fruitful in all seasons of life. He instructs us that we should be more fruitful the older we get, not less.
Focus: a leader is first a follower – a follower of Jesus. Being a good follower is one of the things that establishes a leader’s authenticity and credibility.
Focus: leading through being prayer dependent is part of what we are called to do as leader. What does that look like and how do we do it?
Focus: “lift up your eyes” is a common phrase in the Psalms. How do we stay focused on “Him” in the midst of our leadership responsibilities and practices?
Focus: leadership can be lonely. It is always a good reminder that we are never alone. God is ‘with us’ and ‘for us’.
Focus: ‘to muse’ means to take time to contemplate, consider, thing about things. This is one of the great needs and challenges for a leader.
Focus: faithfulness is often defined by busyness. Waiting on the Lord is another theme in Psalms that has implications for us as leaders.
