Prairie's philosophy for hosting an honor band for young musicians is to provide an opportunity for students to have an excellent ensemble experience. Because this will be most participants’ first honor band event, it is our highest priority to offer a positive and friendly environment for students without competition or unnecessary stress. Musicians will also participate in team-building activities, doubling as a mental break to prevent fatigue. All students will receive a medal to commemorate their participation in the Young Musicians Honor Band. Students will rehearse and perform in a state-of-the-art concert hall on the College Community campus. We look forward to welcoming you and your young musicians to our facilities!
