Evaluation

All teachers are evaluated in accordance with Iowa Law, CCSD expectations, and the Master Agreement. The BOEE Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics is an important document for teachers to read. The Required Artifact Timeline outlines the procedures for Tier II and Tier I/Year 2 teachers.
The New Teacher Scaffolded Learning Schedule outlines timelines and requirements for Tier I teachers.
Please refer to the Tier I and Tier II handbooks on the district website for specific information about the evaluation process. For an abbreviated version, you can use the information below.

For each observation, teachers will want to consider their observation focus carefully so that the process is as meaningful as possible. Example areas of focus include classroom management, specific instructional strategies, and feedback.
