Health Science District (HSD) Academy
PREP-KC in collaboration with University Health (formerly Truman Medical Center) and UMKC Health Science District are excited to offer students an opportunity to take part in a weeklong summer experience where students will be fully immersed in the dynamic world of healthcare. Students will gain invaluable insight, hands-on experience, and gain a comprehensive understanding of various healthcare career pathways. At the conclusion of the program, students will be CPR certified and receive a certificate of completion for the Stop the Bleed program.
The summer experience will run from June 10th–14th from 9:00am – 2:00pm (Monday-Friday) on the UMKC Health District Campus (2464 Charlotte St, Kansas City, MO 64108). The opportunity is open to current Sophomores and Juniors that have an expressed interest in healthcare. Transportation is available for those who require it.
