Pay attention to any attendance letters and monitor through PowerSchool
Assist your child with setting goals and review grades regularly
Encourage involvement with school activities
Establish a time and place for your child to complete homework and study

Keep in touch with your child’s teachers and guidance counselor
Help your child choose appropriate courses by understanding their strengths and weaknesses so as to identify abilities and interests

Listen to their words, be aware of body language and mood
If you suspect drug or alcohol abuse, speak with your child immediately and contact the school for support or call the child’s physician
Set age appropriate limits and boundaries, holding them accountable for their actions and behaviors
