The Career Speaker Series is a dynamic weekly program hosted in the Career Center that connects students with professionals from a wide range of industries. Throughout the school year, guest speakers share their career journeys, educational pathways, daily responsibilities, and real-world advice to help students better understand today’s workforce.
Designed to inspire exploration and informed decision-making, the series gives students the opportunity to ask questions, learn about emerging careers, and build connections with local and regional professionals. Whether students are considering college, technical training, military service, or direct entry into the workforce, the Professional Career Speaker Series provides valuable insight, networking opportunities, and practical guidance to support their postsecondary planning.
Gives students the opportunity to explore careers firsthand through real-world, hands-on learning. Students may participate in school-sponsored field trips, small group visits, individual placements, or even arrange their own approved job shadow experience.
These short-term experiences—typically lasting a few hours or one full day—allow students to observe professionals in action, ask questions, and gain insight into daily responsibilities, workplace expectations, and required education or training. Job shadows help students make informed decisions about future coursework, career pathways, and postsecondary plans while building confidence and professional awareness.
