Students should return from the lav within seven minutes per school policy. Students out for more than the allotted time may be referred to the office per school policy
Students are to use the SmartPass system but also receive teacher permission to leave. If another student is out on a bathroom pass, the next student will need to wait until a pass has returned. Please avoid hitting Do “start pass” until there is a pass available in the classroom. SmartPass will keep your place in line such that you will be next when the classmate returns.
Please try to bring a clear bottle to school and fill it with water between classes. Passes for the water fountain are at the teacher's discretion. More often than not, you will not be allowed to go. Please get a drink between classes.
If you need to go to the nurse, I must call the nurse's office to ensure someone is there.
No passes to Guidance or the Colt Connection will be issued per school policy. I can and will email counselors if you request a pass and they will send for you.
Per school policy, passes will not be issued to go to lockers except in extreme circumstances (example: a student left a project that counts as a test grade in their locker.)
No passes will be issued the first and last five minutes of a class period unless it is an emergency.
Requesting passes should be limited to independent practice time. If an emergency arises during whole class instruction, use the following hand gestures to avoid asking verbally for a pass and interrupting the flow of the class and use smartpass to create a pass and get in the queue. One person will be sent to the bathroom at a time..
Hold up an "L" for "lav."
