Earthquake insurance can be a valuable resilience tool, helping individual households and communities recover more quickly and fully after an earthquake. Current data suggest, however, that the majority of US households at risk for earthquakes have no insurance coverage for earthquake damage.

This site was created to help share relevant information and encourage communication among insurance and seismic professionals who are working on earthquake insurance projects and issues—from educating the public, to researching and addressing challenges related to affordability.
