As you know we are working remotely these next few days and then we will move to a hybrid schedule between Thanksgiving break and Christmas break. Your child will still receive Title One Math services during this time. But, the amount of time and the structure of that time may be different.
Please have your child use our Google Classroom to find assignments and work to do while they are not attending in-school learning days. There will be short videos posted and links for opportunities to practice math ideas. We will have short one-on-one lessons on remote learning days. Please check our Google Classroom in the "Let's Chat" topic to find the schedule.
As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Reflex math is here! Hopefully a letter came home explaining how your child can access the program AND how you can see what they have done, what they are working on, and how they are growing. This program will not work on the conceptual understanding of numbers. Students will continue to work on this in class. All of the students have met minimum requirements of conceptual understanding in order to begin working within the Reflex program.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions.

This has been our first week in Title One Math! We have been busy this week learning about learning. We have spent our time creating our PAX vision for what we would like our classroom to look, sound, and feel like as well as what we will do in order to make our vision a reality. We've been learning that PAX is the Latin word for peace and that we can each be PAX leaders everyday.
We also learned about something called "the dip." The dip when we are struggling to learn something and we can feel sad, frustrated, angry or anxious. These feelings can tempt us to give up or to think we are not good at what we are doing. But, we learned that everyone experiences this and that everyone HAS to go into the dip if they are going to learn something new and challenging. Sometimes we are in the dip for a short time and sometimes it is a little longer. But, there is always a way out of the dip! We learned to focus and reflect on our work and NEVER give up trying. I can't wait to share some of the posters that your children have created. They are awesome!
I have so very much enjoyed my time with your children this week. I assure you that they have put a smile on my face and warmth in my heart.
