Rev. Susie Titus

Susie Titus was the wife of WWI veteran Richard Titus. Together they had 10 children, and both are buried in Brainerd Cemetery.

Susie Titus was the pastor of Mount Zion AME church, also called Skillman AME, in Montgomery, NJ from 1965-1968. Based on our research, she was the first and only woman pastor of that congregation. The Mount Zion AME church is now the current site of the Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum & Education Center.
