As part of the Physical Education curriculum, learning dance is important for dynamic movement, memorization, and coordination! Below, you will find slides with the moves, along with videos from last year's dance classes. If they change this year, I will upload new videos!Â
4th & 5th Grade Upper Elementary students learn dances from Latin Hispanic cultural roots, such as the Merengue & Bachata! They also learn a little bit of dynamic hip hop moves. This unit ends with a culminating Dance Showcase Night at the high school with other Cambridge Schools, and a professional dance from Star Dance Academy in Brighton, Boston.
