The Level Up program allows all students of different educational abilities to participate in Honors courses. By allowing students to do this, it gives them a new perspective on [CRLS]. It helps students learn about themselves and what they can/cannot handle. -- Rori Nerich
Pros I’ve seen as a product of the Level Up program:
Opportunities like Level Up allowed me to connect with a diverse group of students
Strengthened my “people-skills” which can not be strengthened in all classroom environments
Favorite class in all of high school so far (fun, engaging, etc.) -- Maia Shen
It’s unrealistic to expect middle schoolers to be able to jump into Honors classes when they’ve never taken a class of that level before. The Level Up program walks students through this process so they aren’t left to go through this transition alone... -- Ariam Tecleberhan
Even though a lot of money is being put into this project, we (as TA’s) see firsthand how useful and important this program is. The kids are integrated with people from all backgrounds and get to learn that not everyone is on the same level as them. This is vital for their future not only at [CRLS], but also in this diverse world. -- Chiara Tullius
