Brand new to Google Calendar, start here!
Set your Work Hours & Location updated 3/22/22
After setting your work hours you can take advantage of the Out of Office(OOO) feature. When the OOO event surpasses your work hours it will automatically trigger a notification to CPS users composing an email or chat to you.
Creating a new Calendar
NOTE: Only your Primary calendar (first calendar listed - your name) is searched using Find a Time.
Only your main calendar is busy-searched in Google!
Make sure all of your appointments appear on your main calendar (top calendar in Google) for your calendar availability to be accurate when searched by others to add you to a meeting. Do not add your appointments to sub calendars in Google, unless they are copies from your main calendar.
Tasks appear on the due date.
To book a meeting room, add the room to your calendar event. Google will prompt you with available rooms.
TIPS:
Make sure you have your date/time selected BEFORE choosing a room so the availability is correct.
To view the room calendar within your Google calendar, add the meeting room by subscribing: Other Calendars | + | Browse Resources | Check the one you want to add.
If the meeting room is restricted, contact the department for access to book. By default all school staff see rooms at their location.
