Here at Peterson, student safety is our top priority. We are committed to creating a secure and supportive environment where all students feel safe, valued, and respected. Our School Security and Restorative Justice Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining a positive school climate by ensuring physical safety while also fostering a culture of accountability, conflict resolution, and personal growth.
The coordinator supports student safety by:
Monitoring school grounds and addressing security concerns to prevent disruptions.
Implementing restorative justice practices to help students resolve conflicts in a constructive way.
Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and families to provide proactive interventions.
Educating students on positive decision-making, peer relationships, and responsible behavior.
Responding to incidents with a restorative approach that promotes learning and community healing.
