Students will learn and apply the many aspects physical education classes contributes in becoming a responsible adult who are aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Physical Education I & Health Education will educate each student as a whole to a higher level of knowledge related to overall health that will assist in each individual in making educated decisions regarding their own health, safety, and well-being.
The goal of Physical Education & Wellness is to provide students the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for leading and continuing a healthy lifestyle for longevity.
Students will be able to:
Apply an inclusion of regular fitness activity daily.
Develop and maintain health and wellness with fitness, muscular strength and endurance, and improve cardiovascular.
Understand the importance of proper nutrition, body composition, and weight management.
Demonstrate self-confidence by participating in positive influences of physical activity that will develop student's personality, character, and self-esteem.
Apply team-building process and decision-making strategies.
Develop an enhanced motor skill improvement in variety of reflexes, hand-eye coordination, body movements, and body posture.
Apply strategies to relieve stress with involvement of sports, recreational activities, or other forms of physical fitness activities.
