Our SSBU players compete in one-on-one matches in best-of-three rounds. Players practice strategies and combos from among dozens of available characters with remarkably different playstyles. Players must understand their chosen characters' strengths and weaknesses as well as all the different characters they will play against. Successful competitors have excellent hand-eye coordination and reflexes as well as a strategic mindset on how best to overcome the challenges each new opponent presents.

Regular season games are held virtually and finals are in-person events, with players competing in elimination tournaments until only one remains.
