Who: Rising 6th–8th Graders | Program capped at 25 Students
The Institute is an immersive STEM and health program-focused summer camp experience hosted at our beautiful Lincoln Park Campus this summer for rising 6th–8th graders (ages 11–14). This unique 5-day program is designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and introduce middle school students to or expand their understanding of exciting fields such as math, physics, biology, and health sciences—all through fun, hands-on learning. Each day, students will dive into thematic workshops and collaborative STEM and health program activities led by DePaul full-time faculty.
Sample Daily Schedule:
9:00 – 10:15 AM: Interactive Workshop & Hands-on Demo
10:15 – 10:30 AM: Brain Break
10:30 – 11:30 AM: Group Science Challenge
11:30 – 12:15 PM: Lunch (Students are expected to bring their own)
12:15 – 1:00 PM: Team-Based Activity
1:00 – 2:30 PM: Small Group Science Lab
2:30 – 3:00 PM: Reflection & Wrap-up
This camp is part of DePaul’s College of Science and Health (CSH) where we aim to support student development and STEM and health program passion early — with a goal of building a strong, diverse pipeline of future STEM scholars and health care professionals.
