I am reaching out to share an exciting opportunity for your students to participate once again in our Mini Medical School program!
We sincerely thank you and your students for taking part in the 2024 program – we hope it was memorable and an inspiring experience for all who attended. As we prepare for the 2025 session, we would love to invite your students back to join us again.
As a reminder, this free, application-based program is designed to introduce high school students to careers in healthcare, deepen their understanding of organ system biology, and build hands-on technical skills essential for working in the medical field. Throughout the five full-day sessions, students will work alongside physicians, current medical students, and other healthcare professionals.
Some of the Program highlights include:
First Aid Training
A scientific poster project and conference-style case presentation
Mentorship from current medical students
Hands-on training in:
Splinting
Suturing
Narcan (Naloxone) administration
Measuring Vitals
And much more!
We especially encourage students with an interest in STEM or exploring a career in healthcare to apply.
The Mini Medical School will take place on Saturdays, from October 11th through November 1st, 2025, on Midwestern University’s Downers Grove Campus. This is a full-day, in-person program, and we expect all participants to attend each session. A light breakfast and full lunch will be provided for all participating students.
If you are able, please let us know if you believe this opportunity would be a good fit for your students. Please find the flyer attached to this email, as well as the student application. The application is due on Sunday, 9/7/2025, at 11:59 pm.
Thank you again for your continued support!
