The Intermediate Band at Kelly HS is made up of our second year musicians. Because of the sudden shift to remote learning in March 2020, many of these students did not have the means to continue steady instruction to finish their beginning band year.

Under the direction of Mr McCain, the Intermediate Band members are adjusting to virtual instruction while catching up on fundamental technique and musicianship. Many of these musicians will be the future of the Kelly HS Advanced/Marching Band. We are excited to see them progress this year even under these difficult circumstances.

To help build technical skills and musicianship, Intermediate Band students were paired into duet groups for these short pieces. Here are some of the highlights of their first duet project.
