The library is dedicated to supporting the school's students, faculty, and staff and uplifting the mission of the KCP at large - "to develop scholars who demonstrate intellectual and ethical leadership, and academic excellence".

The library visits classrooms to support subject-area teachers in implementing lessons for media & information literacy and research & citation skill-building.
The library maintains a high-quality physical collection of books, including fiction and nonfiction materials.
The library maintains high-quality collections of digital resources including databases and external educational materials.
The library's primary curricular/classroom focuses are media literacy, information literacy, news literacy, tech/digital literacy, and print appreciation.
