We are a Chicago Public School Preschool in the Jefferson Park neighborhood. We offer full day preschool programs for four year olds and half day for three year olds throughout the city of Chicago from 9am-4pm with before and after care options. Our Friends and Family Day is Friday, May 3, 2024. Please RSVP for this event here. Some highlights of the day include a Silent Auction fundraiser, raffles, Touch-A-Truck, Kona Ice Truck and much more. Please see the attached maps for schedules of the day. AM / PM
The end of the year is quickly approaching and we are counting down with the ABCs. Please join us as we celebrate a different theme each day!
During the month of May, Catalpa students will receive Personal Health and Safety Education as required by the CPS Sexual Health Education Policy. The purpose of this education is to build a foundation of knowledge and skills for all students so that they can make the right choices for themselves now and in the future. Please see the attached letter for more information.
The 2024 My Voice, My School Parent/Guardian Survey is now open until April 30th, 2024 and can be accessed online at cps.edu/parent_survey. This annual survey provides parents and guardians with an opportunity to give feedback on strengths and areas of improvement of their school community. The survey is completely anonymous, available in several languages, and takes about 5–10 minutes to complete.

Apply to become a CPS volunteer and list our school (Catalpa ECC). Once you have applied online, please stop by the main office so that we can make a copy of your photo ID. We'd love to have family and community members read to students, help in the lunchroom/ classrooms, and more!
