The Circles All Around Us

After reading The Circles All Around Us, we put our name and something we love in the center circle and our classmates added their names to outer circles labeled "love", "like" or "don't know/not yet"!  This created a visual representation of our similarities. 

Save Fred!

Fred, a gummy worm, fell out of his boat!  Could the students save him by getting him into his life jacket (a gummy lifesaver) and back into his boat using only 2 paper clips and no hands?

Challenge: participate in a collaborative conversation about our recent novel study. 

Building creature offspring

Challenge: use "parent instructions" to create offspring.  All offspring creatures have the same parents so we created siblings, even though their traits are slightly different!
