Preschool Placements 2024-2025

Parents who have received an offer for placement at the Mark Twain Preschool should call the school to schedule an appointment 773-535-2290.  Offers for placement are determined by the Office of Early Childhood Education.  Please visit the Chicago Early Learning Website to apply.

Requirements:

1. A parent or legal guardian must enroll the student.

2. The parent or legal guardian must have 2 pieces of legal identification with current address

   • driver's license or state ID

   • current utility bill

   • insurance statement

   • bank statement

3. The child's birth certificate

4.  2 consecutive paycheck stubs (required by the Office of Early Childhood)

5. Health Exams and Immunizations: Minimum Health Requirements 

4. • Important Note: A current physical is required for the beginning of preschool.  Vision and dental exams are not required but encouraged.

Mark Twain School offers a half day (2.5 hours) preschool program for 3 and 4 year old children with a standardized curriculum. 

Enrollment in our program is directed through the Office of Early Childhood.  

The Creative Curriculum Literacy Approach is used in our preschool program, providing a research-based structure to support student growth and learning.
