Building the Foundation

A needs assessment is conducted by the school counselor to drive the Comprehensive School Counseling Program at Cross Plains ISD. Input is gathered from all stakeholders; teachers/staff, parents, students, and administration. Once the data is collected, the counselor uses that for the next years planning. The needs assessments narrows down the biggest areas of need and allows us to create a plan to address those needs through guidance lessons, professional developments, outside guest speakers/programs, community resources, counseling sessions, and family engagement opportunities.
