i am from Atlanta, Georgia! i love spending time with my family: my husband, tom, of 29 Years, our two kids, cullen & izzy, and our dog, luna! cullen graduated from university of alabama and Lives in Minnesota with his wife, Abby. izzy recently graduated from university of georgia and is starting her Masters with UGA! we love to travel as a family and one of our favorite activities is to scuba dive!
professionally, i am a certified K-12 school counselor. i graduated from lafayette college with a BA in psychology. i continued to graduate school to earn my m.s.ed in psychological services and school counseling at university of pennsylvania. i completed my school counseling internships in philadelphia, pA.
after college i moved back to georgia, and i worked 6 years as an elementary school counselor in cobb county. i took a break from school counseling to raise my family (and became a professional school volunteer). now that my kids are older, i wanted to return to school counseling. i will start my Fourth year at white oak this 2026-27 school year.

Meet Mrs. Callahan!
I am from Newnan, Georgia! I have lived in different cities around Georgia, but I always knew I wanted to come home to this area. My husband Ross and I have been married for 6 years and we have 2 dogs (Ozzie and Chipper) and 1 cat (Pickles)! We are having our first child in JUne, Elise. We are very excited about this next chapter of life! We love being outdoors, being active, and spending time with family and friends. We also love cheering on our Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldawgs!
Professionally, I am a certified K-12 school counselor. I graduated from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA with a Bs in Sociology. I continued graduate school at UWG to earn my M.Ed. in professional school counseling. I completed my school counseling internships in Carrollton and Coweta.
After college, I began my career at West Forsyth High School in Cumming, GA where I worked for 3 years as a school counselor. During this time, I also continued my education by completing my Ed.S. in professional school counseling and supervision at UWG. In 2021, I started working at Northgate High School as a school counselor. In April 2025, I was presented with the opportunity to join the White Oak team and I am loving it!
High school to elementary school counseling does have its differences, but at its core, it is helping and supporting students be the best versions of themselves that they can be! I love getting to know each and every student and how I can help them be successful as well as supporting the White Oak staff and parents to see our students thrive.
As a school counselor, I teach guidance lessons with K, 2nd and 4th Graders during our specials rotations, as well as meet with individuals and run small groups. In addition to school counseling at White Oak, I coach sideline and competition cheerleading at East Coweta HS. GO INDIANS!
