First Charter Meeting for Orientation
Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 7:30 a.m., future NEHS inductees for Newnan High's charter class accepted their formal invitations to become members of the National English Honor Society in the NHS Media Center. See attached agenda. Students enjoyed a continental breakfast and brainstormed potential names for our new literary magazine at their tables.
NEHS Orientation Meeting
October Meeting Attendees: 21 Members
This was our first general meeting to discuss club business moving forward. Students were introduced to their officers: President, Jude Jude Owens; Vice-President, Cooper Dean; Secretary, Kate Howell, and Treasurer, Nayelly Trujillo. Ms. Rambo discussed parliamentary procedure for voting. Students formally approved the name, The Phoenix, for our literary magazine and this year's theme as From the Darkness Into the Light. In addition, we discussed upcoming events and a later election on committee chairs for the year.
