Computer Information Technology at Central Educational Center provides the following programming courses:

Introduction to Programming (JAVA)

• • No previous programming skills needed

  • No drag and drop code

  • Learn the JAVA programming language

  • Start writing code with messages to the screen

  • Learn to write simple business code

  • Covers programming terms/techniques

    • classes, methods, objects

    • decision statements (if-else/switch)

    • loops(while, for, do)

    • arrays and array lists

  • Final project involves writing 2d games

  • Covers most of the AP Computer Science A standards
