Education: Wright State University

• Bachelor's Integrated Social Studies and Master's in Education.

Biography: After graduating from Wright State, Mr. Cates taught Social Studies and coached football, basketball, and track at Twin Valley South. He was also the National Honor Society advisor. Mr. Cates has been married since July 8, 2017 and has two daughters, Khloe and Emma. Mr. Cates began teaching at Covington in 2016.

Hobbies: Mr. Cates enjoys traveling, listening to live music, attending sporting events, and watching The Office.

Clubs and Extra-curricular Activities: Mr. Cates coaches football and basketball at Covington.
