Navigators

Navigators is for boys in junior high school (6th thru 8th grades).

As Navigators, boys gain understanding of their values and beliefs under the guidance of godly male role models through being responsible in outdoor adventures and in their home and school life. They explore areas of interest and earn Trail Badges for advancement. The emphasis of this curriculum is mastering key outdoor adventure skills.

The Navigators are lead by a Trailmaster who may also work with Trailguides to deliver some of the curriculum, and provide oversight of the program as boys learn to lead themselves.  This learned leadership comes by accepting responsibilities within the unit and learning to work together as a team.  Leadership is also learned through service projects and helping other people.

Our Program Consists of the Following:

• Troop Meetings - 6:30PM until 8:00PM - On Thursday nights throughout the school year

• We attempt to have a camp-out every month during the school year

Advancement in this program is focused on mastering a series of required badges, elective badges and completing service hours.
