Charter Oak Unified Recognized Honored Program
Broadcast Journalism class is a course designed to equip students with the skills necessary to succeed in the field of journalism. This class focuses specifically on the broadcast aspect of journalism, which refers to news delivered through radio or television. Students enrolled in this course will learn how to produce news stories that are engaging, informative, and relevant to their audience. They will also gain a thorough understanding of the different formats used in broadcast journalism, such as news packages, live shots, and interviews.
Throughout the course, students will develop a strong foundation in the principles of journalism, including ethics, accuracy, and objectivity through Runner TV. They will also learn how to gather and research information, conduct interviews, and write news scripts that are concise and easy to understand. Additionally, students will gain hands-on experience in using professional equipment and software, such as cameras, microphones, and editing software, to produce high-quality news segments. Ultimately, the goal of a broadcast journalism class is to prepare students for a career in journalism by providing them with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to succeed in the field.
