About Mr. Yap
Albert Yap has been teaching for over a decade and has helped high school students achieve their career pathways for the Orange Unified School District. He is also a freelance creative director for Visual Professionals in film producing, graphic design, animation, videography, and photography. Community outreach and creator of grassroots media outlet for talent acquisition and event execution. Produced and directed videos for entertainment professionals that work with talent agencies such as BLOC LA, Clear Talent Group, Movement Talent Agency, and Screen Actors Guild.
He is a current DJ and host for Nu Style Radio since 2011 and created a platform successfully getting his students opportunities to perform at Disneyland, DCA, Universal Studios, and Knotts Berry Farm.
In film, Albert Yap was a film producer and correspondent for cable news channel, Current TV. As a producer for Current TV, he covered Freestyle Session worldwide events, collaborated with news anchors with current events and international affairs. He has directed and produced films that were entered in numerous film competitions earning 1st place and best video. Albert Yap also worked on a documentary on Los Angeles History of Murals with UCLA Professor Judy Baca for World Arts and Cultures. His films were aired on national tv and aired internationally in 50 million homes!
