The villa is within its quiet and private estate of 6,000 m2 with an organic certified olive grove, fully fenced and gated. It is ideal for children. There are 3 restaurants within a few minutes walk. Free: VLAN, Netflix, smart TV, terrestrial Greek TV and satellite German TV.

The Mondo Cosseri Villa Rossa - Penelope is a cottage within a private estate and accommodates 5 guests. 

It is only a 220 meter walk away from Vrahinari (Vatsa), which is one of Kefalonia’s best sandy beaches. 

The estate is quiet, private, safe, 6,000 m2, and fenced with an organic olive grove. It is ideal also for children.

There is only one other tourist accommodation within the property, the Mondo Cosseri Villa Rossa - Dorothea.

Both accommodations use exclusively a pool

The Penelope cottage consists of 2 studios with their own bathroom, kitchenette and balcony or patio. There is air conditioning and insect screens in all internal spaces. 

They are within a very quiet, private and safe estate of 6,000 square meters, fully fenced and gated. The estate has numerous olive trees which are officially certified as organic/Bio. Consequently, the vines and other plants such as rosemary, wild fennel and lavender are also organic. The estate has many gravel paths for walks and 4 stone terraces/patios. The estate has shaded free parking for guests for at least 4 cars

ACCOMODATIONS

The larger studio at Penelope cottage sleeps 2 on a 140cm wide double bed and sleeps 1 on a single bed which in the day doubles as a sofa. There is a disabled bathroom with shower and a washing machine.  It has a kitchenette with fridge, sink and 2 electric plate hobs. Kitchen utensils are provided. In the room there is a table and 3 chairs. It has its own balcony surrounded by wooden trellis and railing, offering privacy. The balcony has 1 table, 3 chairs and 2 sun loungers. 

The smaller studio at Penelope cottage sleeps 2 on 2 single beds. One of these beds in the day doubles as a sofa. There is a bathroom with shower. It has a kitchenette with fridge, sink and 2 electric plate hobs. Kitchen utensils are provided. In the room there is a table and 2 chairs. It has its own patio in the front, overhang with olive branches, bougainvillea and vines. The patio has 1 table, 2 chairs and 2 sun loungers. 

CHILDREN: The villa is ideal for children as the entire property is fenced. For babies there is a Pack N’ Play crib upon request free of charge.

The neighbourhood

From the property, it is only a 3 minutes walk to the nearest beach of Vrahinari. This sandy beach has a cozy beach bar and offers sun loungers and thatched parasols for hire. A rock formation separates Vrahinari from its sister beach, Vatsa. Thus you can get to Vatsa either by swimming from Vrahinari beach or by walking a short distance. Sandy Vatsa has several thatched parasols and flanks the estuary of the Vatsa stream, a popular hangout for ducks! There is a waterpark only 5 minutes drive away. It is a 10 minutes drive to the beaches of Xi and Megas Lakkos with tavernas, bars and watersports. Other beaches within a reasonable driving distance: include Petani, Atheras and Platia Ammos. There are three restaurants (tavernas) within walking distance. In the town of Lixouri there is a post office, banks, chemists, supermarkets,  hairdressers, coffee shops, zaharoplasteia (pastry shops), tavernas and grillhouses. Sports/activities: There is a water amusement park nearby and around Lixouri a sailing school, horseback riding, and fishing day-excursions. From Argostoli there are day-trips with a glass boat, trips to the famous beach of Navagio at Zante, and so on.
