Families

The Families page is designed to give students and families additional ways to learn together outside of the classroom.

Here you will find resources that can help students strengthen important Math and Science skills, explore topics in greater depth, and get extra support when needed. Resources may include online tutoring, skill practice, educational games, videos, interactive activities, and websites connected to what we are learning in class.

For Math, families can find help with foundational skills such as multiplication facts, division, fractions, decimals, place value, and problem solving. For Science, students can explore topics through videos, virtual activities, interactive models, and other reliable learning resources.

This page is not intended to add more required schoolwork. Instead, it provides optional resources for students who need additional practice, want extra help, or are simply curious and want to learn more.

Families are encouraged to explore these resources together and use the ones that are most helpful for their child.

Free Math Resources for Families

These websites provide students with engaging ways to practice important fifth-grade math skills at home. They can be used for extra practice, review, or simply to keep math skills sharp.

Beast Academy Playground
Free math activities designed to develop problem-solving, mathematical thinking, strategy, and number sense. These activities tend to be more intellectually challenging and less juvenile than many traditional elementary math games, making them especially good for students who enjoy puzzles and challenges. Prodigy Math — Free with Optional Paid Upgrades
Prodigy combines standards-aligned math practice with an adventure-style game. Students can access the educational math content for free. Free Science Resources for Families

These websites provide students with engaging ways to explore science at home. They include games, interactive activities, videos, experiments, and other resources that encourage curiosity and reinforce science concepts.

NASA Space Place — Free
Designed specifically for upper-elementary students, NASA Space Place uses games, hands-on activities, short videos, and articles to help students explore Earth and space science.
