Draw from life or use reference photos. Draw it one time, big! Fill your whole sketchbook page. Full range of values...you should be able to feel the reflective light!

Go outside. Collect things from NATURE (stick, leaf, pine cone, branch, flower, etc.) or take pictures of the things. NATURAL THINGS! Gather at least 3 objects/photos.
Draw them with FULL VALUE. Use any materials, just add detail... Not just outlines! Study the objects. Write notes about them if you want to.

Draw 10 hands and 10 feet from life or reference images. Fill a whole sketchbook spread, fit them all on one page, or spread them out. It's up to you!
These drawings are for you to practice rendering hands and feet in a full range of values.

Create a color wheel! This can look however you want, but you should be using acrylic paint and only the primary colors (yellow, blue, red) to mix other colors on the wheel.
Your color wheel should include: 12 different colors and labels (color names and primary, secondary/tertiary)

Use primary colors to mix and document the following color schemes:

Choose 5 objects with different colors.
Match the colors of the objects using your knowledge about color mixing! Use any colors available (not just primary) to mix your paint swatches
Take pictures of the objects and label your paint swatches.

Choose at least 5 references photos of 5 different types of hair (long/curly, wavy, straight, etc.)
Draw the hair! Don't need to draw faces, just the hair. These should be fully rendered drawings (with full range of values). Try to fill a full page at least.

Follow the tutorial to paint your own apple. You can get choose your color scheme!
Important: Even though you are all following the same tutorial, your apples will all look different!! You see color and things (like apples) differently, you interpret directions differently, and your hands work differently...THAT'S OKAY.
