CACTC has data to support a wide variety of public health information campaigns and has already developed messaging and graphics for many campaigns and is happy to share these with partner agencies.
Feel free to use what is here, or we can easily customize the logos or messaging to match your needs. If you need more substantial customization, we can work with you in a more formal collaboration.
Repeated exposure to a message is necessary for most people to retain the message. Our hope at CACTC is that partner agencies will use the library of ready-made campaigns to present unified, data-driven messages about important public health issues in a coordinated and wide-reaching way.
We have campaigns prepared on a wide range of topics, and we keep a calendar of upcoming awareness months/days around which to structure a campaign. You can also search our library to find relevant campaigns.
Each campaign accessible through this portal includes:
An overview of messaging for the campaign and an explanation of it
A collection of text, image, audio, and video materials (ready-to-post or customizable with agency logos, etc.). These can be optimized for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, web, print, or other media.
A suggested posting schedule to optimize engagement
We also have some campaigns developed by regional partners, such as the Cortland County Health Department.
If you need something specific, we have a graphic designer on staff who can work with you to create what you need. For example, we can help with:
a topic that we don't already have (this is even easier if you provide data)
a graphic or video that shows your agency or a specific location (this is even easier if you provide a reference image)
a graphic or video that shows specific people or people doing a specific thing
a customized version of any graphic or video we already have made
We can provide technical assistance or consultation throughout the implementation process on a case-by-case basis. We can also help you find resources for more effective public health communication, like the CDC Plain Language guides or the Public Health Communications Collaborative's Toolkit.
Local, place-based images that people can connect to their daily lives will matter more to them than cookie-cutter images from national campaigns or local campaigns that use stock images. We have graphics which show a wide variety of specific locations throughout Cortland County, Onondaga County, and beyond, including:
Courthouse Park
Hollenbeck's Cider Mill
Municipal Water Works
Footie's Freeze
Guthrie Cortland Medical Center
all Onondaga County Libraries
We can also make new ones that show any building, place, or object you want.
Because of how the social media algorithms work, more people will see campaign content posted by multiple agencies if each agency posts it from their own page, rather than sharing another agency's post.
Everyone who sees information about a given campaign will see the same messaging, no matter which agency posts it. That messaging is based on local and national data and tailored to your part of New York. CACTC's public health campaign graphics also all share a common visual language that will help consumers mentally connect the messages from multiple sources.
We're working to make it so that you can see and learn from analytic data about reach and engagement beyond just your agency.
Here's what to expect when you partner with CACTC for a public health information campaign
You can browse our library of existing materials to identify campaigns that could easily be customized for your agency and to see what kinds of materials we can create new for your agency.
If you just want to use campaigns or materials that we already have, to get started all we need is a good quality image file of your organization's logo. Email us at aparrott@cortlandareactc.org or use the "Request Custom Campaign" button below. We will share images/videos with your agency's logo that you can post directly from your agency's social media pages. We can work with you to develop a posting plan.
We ask that you share any social media analytic data you can about the campaign you run with our materials, but there is currently no cost or commitment beyond that.
DO NOT edit any of CACTC's images or videos. If you need something customized, we will work with you to make sure the materials you post fit your needs. You can read our full usage agreement for more info.
If you need a campaign on a topic we haven't covered yet or want customized materials, we can work with you. Just click the button below to fill out a Google Form with a specific request.
If you want to work with us on a custom campaign, we will discuss pricing at our consultation.
