David Waeltz-The Person

I am beginning my 12th Year here at Corpus Christi School.  Prior to teaching at CCCS, I was the Honors Math Teacher at St. David's Catholic School in Willow Grove.  I taught there for 13 years.  I feel so blessed to be a part of the CCCS family.  I have a deep passion for teaching math.  I love it when my students can finally understand a concept after working so hard to master it.  It really  makes my job worth while.

I was trained as a teacher at West Chester University.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1996.  After graduating, I was a substitute teacher and a building sub in Springfield School District.   From there, I started my job at St. David's.  After teaching math for so many years, I was able to earn my Middle School certification in math.

One of my philosophies of being a teacher is that I want the students to want to enjoy coming to my class.   I feel as though for me, to do that,  I want them to have fun.  I like to have fun with the kids.  I try to instill the love of math that I have with them.
