All policies per the student handbook as well as the following:
Cell Phones: Zero tolerance for cell phones or other communication devices in the room. Leave it in your Yonder pouch in your locker. No warnings may be given before a disciplinary action is taken. This could include a detention.
Food and Drink: Students may bring one water bottle that can close and is spill-proof to class. This should only have water and/or ice in it. No other food or beverages are allowed unless approved by me.
Backpacks/Blankets: No backpacks or blankets can be in the classroom. They must be left outside the door or in your locker.
Headwear: No hoods up. Only baseball caps are allowed, with nothing covering your ears.
Bathroom: Only 1 student allowed out of class for the bathroom at a time. Must sign out on the sign-out sheet.
Class Attendance: Everyone should be in class and on time. If you are 0-3 minutes late, you will be marked tardy. If you are more than 3 minutes late, you will be considered a skip and marked absent for the day. If you miss class, it is the student’s responsibility to contact me for makeup work.
Homework: Homework should be completed independently after students have participated in class discussions. If it can’t be completed in the allotted time, you may need to take it home to finish. This will be due by the start of the next class. I will not give you more homework than I believe is necessary. If these are not being completed, you will be claimed for Chief Time. If you are still not getting it done during this time, you will be assigned to academic lunch until the work is completed.
Tests and Quizzes: Please try to be present on test days. Collaboration is not allowed unless it is specified as a team activity. Zero tolerance for cheating and this will result as a 0 on the test or quiz.
Test Retakes and Make-up Tests: If a student receives a grade below a C- (<70%), they are required to retake the test. Everyone else has the opportunity if they would like.
You can retake the test 1 time.
The test will need to be completed within 5 school days of getting your grade. Please talk to me about scheduling this for a time that will work for both of us.
Retake results will be the average of both scores. If a retake score is lower, the first score will be used.
Classroom Expectations: Students are expected to:
Come on time and be prepared every day with your supplies and a positive attitude.
Participate in team discussions and support your teammates.
Explain mathematical reasoning and take academic risks.
Learn from mistakes and ask questions. They are expected, respected, inspected, and corrected.
Be respectful and kind to your classmates and their ideas, staff, and everyone's time. If you are uncomfortable or concerned about something, please bring it to my attention. If there is any inappropriate conduct by a student, such as the things listed in the handbook, swift disciplinary action will be taken.
Technology: Technology should always be used responsibly and for educational purposes. No technology will be used unless instructed by me. Students will regularly use technology to:

Participate in classroom activities
