Jane Austen June

I spent June reading all of Jane Austen, including her epistolary stories. Emma was the best, but P&P is no slacker.

Brontë July

Admittedly, this doesn't role off the tounge nearly as well- and I enjoyed 'Jane Erye', 'Wuthering Heights' & 'The Tenant of Wildfell Hall' far less than I did Austen.

Nettle & Bone

I loved this book so much I made my sci-fi bookclub read it. And then they voted it best book of the year.

Thursday Murder Club

When I recommend this book, it's with the knowledge that you will read it & then go out and immediately acquire the other three in the series. You're welcome.

When the Angels Left the Old Country

Oh, my heart! I don't think any summary I write will do it proper justice, but it's described as a 'queer, immigrant fairytale' which is quite apt.

Gillian Flynn's best work. Witty, stomach turning & biting prose.

How Rory Thorne Destroyed the Multiverse

This is one of those times where all you need to be sold is the title. And yes, it's as good as it sounds.
