My Dietetic Portfolio

Welcome!

I am Josee Lundgren, and I graduated from Concordia College in May 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics.

As a three sport athlete in high school and a collegiate athlete, the importance of food in high intensity sports has been with me for many years. As a freshman in college, I was unsure of what my future would look like but I had a strong attraction for the medical profession. I had a bump in the road when I decided to drop out after my first semester of college. I needed to focus on my mental health and self-reflect on myself, my goals, and what I wanted in my future. I worked a CNA right after I dropped out and didn't feel satisfied with the fact I didn't finish, so I signed up to return that next fall. During my second semester of college, I went in undecided and ended up taking a nutrition class that counted as a requirement for graduation. After finishing that course, I felt I had found my niche. I talked with the professor and changed my major to Nutrition & Dietetics following that course. My passion for nutrition has continued to grow and I have found myself enjoying new avenues of nutrition I never expected I would.

Currently, I am taking a gap year following my graduation and I plan to apply for a dietetic internship in 2022 and hope to continue my path to becoming an RDN.

Thank you for visiting my portfolio! I am excited for you to learn more about me and what makes me who I am. If you have additional questions about anything, please feel free to send me an email: joseelundgren@gmail.com.
