The report generated by the software gives you the concentrations of manganese and nickel in your analyzed steel samples. You’ll use these numbers to calculate the percentage of these elements in the solid steel.
Find the concentrations of Mn and Ni in each of your four sample solutions from the printed report.
Taking into account ALL your dilutions and the mass of steel you dissolved for each sample, calculate the percentage of nickel and manganese in all four of your solid steel samples.
Check for outliers, then calculate an average and standard deviation for the mass percent of both Ni and Mn in your original steel sample.
Submit your data and results in the Report Form on LabArchives.
