Part 1 : A 20 minute online assessment on chromebooks. This will test what you learned about science in primary school. It is mostly multiple choice and "choose the correct answer from the list" style questions.
Part 2: A 25 minute written assessment on paper. This will test what you have learned so far in your topic "Working as a Scientist 1". These questions will be a bit wordier and longer. Some questions will sometimes require answers in sentences or as drawings. Overall this part of the test will require more of a secondary school level of skill to answer.
Part 1 :
This section will test your knowledge of simple scientific ideas, and your ability to read and understand questions from unfamiliar settings. So it is quite hard to set specific revision for you to do.
However, if you want, you can have a go at some of the quizzes, revision resources, and games on the BBC Bitesize KS2 website here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/subjects/zn4f8p3
Part 2:
You can log into Carousel (using your first name and surname) using this link: https://app.carousel-learning.com/study-pack/f0aedc38-8a62-4de0-8c1c-6f054a14d53d
This link has all the practice questions from your "Working as a Scientist 1" topic. It has pre-made flashcards you can use to practice questions, and you can create your own quizzes to check your knowledge.
TOP TIP: A good way to use this pack is to get a parent/older sibling/guardian to read questions to you and you have to write them out, or say them out loud, then your parent can check them.
Here is a copy of the "Working as a Scientist 1" Topic Front Sheet. It has a list of all the key knowledge, skills and vocabulary students should be familiar with from this topic.
