STATE MINIMUM LIABILITY vs. STANDARD FULL COVERAGE
Minimum Liability: Insures against the damage you could cause other people or their property while on the road. In other words, it protects you from the other driver’s expenses should you cause an accident. Liability cover is a legal requirement in almost every state.
Standard Full Coverage: Applies to damage to your vehicle, regardless of whether the damage is from a collision or not. Note that standard full coverage also includes Liability.
Auto Insurance Rule: If the person is currently financing or leasing the vehicle, it automatically needs Full coverage. If the person owns the vehicle, they have the option to get Full coverage or Liability.

Vehicle is registered in a state different from where the customer is residing
We use the ZIP code of the customer’s residence on the webform regardless of where the vehicle is coming from or currently registered in. People are not allowed to drive their vehicles in a state that is different from their residence long-term so they will likely need to register their car where they live at some point.
Note: It is not required to ask for the ZIP code. Clarify it if the customer proactively mentions their location. We can only change the ZIP code on the webform if it doesn’t match where the customer is residing.
