Ryan earned his Juris Doctorate in May 2013 from The John Marshall Law School (now University of Illinois Chicago School of Law), where he also earned JD certificates in Alternate Dispute Resolution and Trial Advocacy. He clerked at Marino & Assoc, PC, and the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, worker's compensation division, while in law school. Ryan worked as a volunteer attorney for CARPLS Legal Aid prior to joining MarCal Law. In 2016 Ryan started his own practice, the Law Offices of Ryan Schaefges, P.C., working on real estate transactions and property tax assessment appeals throughout Illinois.
